Thiam & Associés is advising China Baowu Steel Group (“Baowu”), the world’s leading steel producer, on the signing of a major Investment Agreement relating to the Simandou Project. The Investment Agreement was signed on September 6, 2023, in Beijing, between Baowu and Winning Consortium Simandou.

The signing of this agreement marks Baowu’s participation in the development of the world’s largest untapped iron project estimated at USD 15 billion.

Thiam & Associés brings its expertise to a project that has marked the history of the Republic of Guinea since its independence in 1958 and which now crosses a historic threshold.
